Year 2015#

In December 2015, 7 members of the Island School Community visited Baiwan.

When they visited the Sun Beam Children’s Village, they played games with the pre-school children there, showed them Christmas carols and helped them to make Christmas cards. They also taught at the Hei Moong Primary School and Nan An Primary School, and distributed presents to the students after the activities.

In November 2015, thirty two Island School teachers and students visited Baiwan. They taught in various schools, visited some local villages and had a basketball match with Hei Moong Primary School and Baiwan Secondary School. They distributed scarves and hats to the students in Nan An and Hei Moong Primary Schools.

In end of July, a couple from the Island School community visited Baiwan. They visited a family in a remote village and sponsored them to move to the central area of Baiwan. They also visited some beneficiaries of the Baiwan Charity  and sponsored them to further education in Qingyuan. When they returned to Qingyuan, they met some university graduates who had been sponsored by the Baiwan Charity. Those graduates are working in different disciplines which includes the legal department, medical profession, IT, banking and engineering in the Guangdong province.

In June 2015, a dozen of Island School teachers and students visited Baiwan. They playedgames with the playgroup children in the Sun Beam Children Village. They also taught English lessons in the primary Schools. They brought a lot of toys and stationery for the children there.
