Year 2011#

In December 2011, two members of the Island School Community visited Baiwan. They brought some stationary and face towels for the children in Nan An Primary School. They also sponsored the cost of upgrading the electricity supply of the school.

In November 2011, thirty-five Island School teachers and students visited Baiwan. They taught in various schools, visited some local villages and had basketball matches with Nan An Primary School. They bought new blackboards for Hei Moong Primary School. They also distributed scarves and hats to children in Nan An Primary School.

In July 2011, the Island School Baiwan Charity sponsored a group of post-secondary students based in Guangzhou to run a two-week summer camp for students in Xi Wang Primary School. The activities involved English, Mathematics and general knowledge.

In June 2011, a dozen of Island School teachers and students visited Baiwan. They taught in Xi Wang Primary School and had a basketball match with the teachers. They sponsored four graduates of Baiwan Secondary School to continue high school education in Qingyuan. They presented scholarship to twenty P6 students in Xi Wang Primary School who did well at the end-of-term exam. They also sponsored the school to buy new chairs for the Multi-media room.
